Policy
Short version: we run no analytics and no advertising trackers on this site. The only third party that can set anything on your device is YouTube, and it cannot do so until you tell us it may.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. Related technologies — local storage, session storage — do much the same job. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, PECR) treats them the same way: we must have your consent before storing or reading anything on your device, unless it is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for.

That is the only thing this site stores on your device by default. It contains your choice and the date you made it. Nothing else. It is not sent to us or to anyone else — it stays in your browser.

How we block it. Until you consent, the video players on this site are
replaced with a still image and a play button. No connection is made to YouTube's player
and no cookies are set. When you do consent we load the videos from
youtube-nocookie.com, Google's reduced-tracking domain, which holds back
cookies until a video is actually played.
You can also consent to a single video without turning it on site-wide — just press play on the one you want. That choice lasts for the current browsing session only.
3. What we do not use
To be explicit, this website does not run:
- Google Analytics or any other analytics package
- Advertising or retargeting pixels of any kind, including Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok
- Session recording, heatmaps or A/B testing tools
- Social media tracking widgets — our social icons are ordinary links, and they only contact those networks if you click them
If that changes, this page and the consent banner will be updated before the tool goes live.
4. Other third-party connections
Two things reach out to other servers without setting cookies. We mention them because they still involve your IP address being seen by another company.
- Video thumbnail images load from
img.youtube.com. These are plain images, they set no cookies and we send no referrer with them, but Google can still see your IP address when they load. We rely on legitimate interests for this — showing you our portfolio — and you can object using the contact details below. - Web fonts are served from this site itself. They used to load from Google Fonts, which exposed your IP address to Google on every page view. They no longer do. No font request leaves our domain.
Our form submissions go to Netlify, who host this site. Netlify does not set cookies for ordinary visitors.
5. Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like:
- Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page on this site. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- Clear your browser's site data for this domain, which resets you to the default of everything blocked.
- Manage or block cookies generally in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this, though blocking everything may break features on other websites.
Refusing does not limit anything on this site except the embedded video players, and you can always watch the same films on our YouTube channel directly.
